Paris Fashion Week Men's Spring-Summer 2025: Theme, Hosts, and More

Fans of Alessandro Michele, the former creative director of Gucci, are eagerly awaiting his debut at Valentino.

However, they’ll have to wait a bit longer because Valentino won’t be showing any men’s or haute couture collections in June.

Instead, Michele’s first collection for Valentino will be at the women’s fashion week in Paris in September.

Meanwhile, there’s still plenty to look forward to in the fashion world.

Pharrell Williams will be presenting his third menswear collection for Louis Vuitton.

In the past, his shows have been big events, with his last one shutting down parts of central Paris.

Other designers like Jonathan Anderson at Loewe, Véronique Nichanian at Hermès, and Rick Owens will also be showcasing their latest creations.

Keep an eye out for updates!

The Men’s Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025 will take place on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 6:00 AM to Sunday, June 23, 2024 at 11:59 PM.

What is Paris Fashion Week?

Paris Fashion Week aims to show the fashion industry what is in the season and what is not.

It is divided into three categories – Haute Couture, Men’s Fashion, and Prêt-à-Porter (means ready-to-wear).

How It Started?

In 1914, when France was ahead of fashion, there was a concern that World War I may interfere with the French fashion industry.

During that time, Edna Woolman Chase was the editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine in America.

She was worried that without French designs, there would be no fashion to show in America.

However, to highlight this, she organized a charity show that is known as a fashion show in New York.

There she featured designs from American dressmakers.

The show was a success that ensured the fashion would continue even after the war.

Further, in 1943, during World War II, Paris was under Nazi occupation, and the fashion world faced the same challenge.

However, to divert the attention from French fashion, a “Press Week” in New York was arranged by publicist Eleanor Lambert.

The initiative leads to increased recognition for American designers.

In 1973 – Paris Fashion Week was officially started, followed by Milan Fashion Week in 1979.

London then joined the fashion after a decade. These events are the iconic fixtures since then.
